nope - you can remove the entire front end, the bummper sub-structure, the rad support and everything. to pull the motor in this you remove all that and pull it straight out the front.

hit something, there are a million parts in that front end - everything is replaceable!

I had some problems with that with my Yota - the entire front 4x4 system is vacuum engaged. I used the fuel line clamps, like the little spring ones you pinch with pliers and slip on.

You may have another issue though...

yeah tell me about it. i'm in the same boat with the yota, i can only lift that about 2" before the cv's and balljoints grenade. more than 2" got to get a drop bracket, lower the diff, and drop spindles that are about $1000 if you're lucky. more than 4" got to lower the transfer case....

that is a schedule 40 black pipe fitting. the threads were of a similar diameter, but very coarse vs. very fine. i could thread it on, but it was loose, so i packed it full of JB WELD and stuck it on. it was solid and held air.

I had a similar carbset on my 1973 Kawasaki Z1, it was a pain to get those carbs running right. when you had the carbs in for a bath, did all the jets come out for the bath? I left mine in for the bath and they did not get clean.

I flew from halifax to toronto, then to Vancouver, then up to whitehorse, in the yukon. on the way back, i flew from whitehorse to vancouver, fucked around for 11 stupid hours, then vancouver to montreal, dashed through the airport for 20 minutes and almost missed my connection, then flew to halifax...

Going wheeling tomorrow with the guys at maritimeoff-road.com. probably 3 rigs plus mine, a 90 FS bronco with 6" lift and 33's, a jeep rubicon with 31's, an 85 (i think) 4runner with 31's and myself with the 32's. place we're going is called 'big lots road', apparently it's all sorts of old woo...
